Professional Disclaimer
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Private Living provides private residence oversight, owner representation and practical coordination in Los Cabos. This Professional Disclaimer explains important limitations applying to the Website and, unless a signed client agreement states otherwise, to descriptions of our services.
1. General Information Only
Content on privatelivingmexico.com, including Insights articles, checklists, calendars, photographs, examples and service descriptions, is provided for general informational purposes.
It is not a substitute for advice based on the facts, systems, construction, legal status, insurance coverage or operating conditions of a particular residence.
2. No Professional Relationship Through Website Use
Visiting the Website, downloading a resource, sending an inquiry or receiving a general response does not create a client, agency, fiduciary, advisory or professional relationship.
Private Living accepts responsibility for a service only through a written agreement defining the scope, authority, reporting expectations, fees and limitations of that engagement.
3. Coordination, Not Licensed Technical Practice
Private Living may coordinate, document or oversee work performed by qualified independent providers. Private Living does not present itself as the contractor, architect, engineer, electrician, plumber, surveyor, appraiser, environmental consultant, security company, insurance adviser, attorney, accountant, tax adviser, investment adviser, physician, psychologist or other licensed professional unless expressly stated in writing and legally authorized.
Technical conclusions, permits, designs, diagnoses, regulated work and professional certifications remain the responsibility of the appropriately qualified provider.
4. Home Watch and Residence Observations
Home Watch and residence-care visits are limited to the accessible areas and observations included in the written service plan. They are generally visual and non-invasive.
They are not structural, engineering, environmental, code-compliance, mold, pest, roofing, plumbing, electrical, security or insurance inspections and do not guarantee discovery of hidden, intermittent, inaccessible or developing conditions.
A residence may experience damage, theft, equipment failure, water intrusion, mold, pests, weather impact or other loss even when scheduled visits are performed.
5. Independent Vendors and Service Providers
Contractors, household personnel, drivers, chefs, medical providers, marine technicians, insurers, advisers and other third parties are independent unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Private Living may assist with introductions, scheduling, access, estimate collection, documentation and follow-through, but does not guarantee a third party's licensing, availability, advice, pricing, conduct, workmanship, solvency, insurance, warranty or result.
Owners should review material estimates, contracts, qualifications and warranties before authorizing work.
6. Owner Decisions and Authorizations
The owner retains responsibility for significant decisions unless specific written authority has been delegated. Private Living will act only within the agreed scope, spending limits, access permissions and authorization procedures, subject to applicable law.
Delays in owner instructions, provider availability, HOA approval, permits, parts, access, weather or public restrictions may affect timing and outcomes.
7. Emergencies, Security and Continuous Monitoring
Private Living is not a police, fire, medical, rescue, security, alarm-monitoring or emergency-response service. The Website, email and general inquiry form are not continuously monitored emergency channels.
Immediate threats to life, safety or property should be reported first to the appropriate public authority or contracted emergency, security or monitoring provider.
No description of residence oversight should be interpreted as continuous surveillance, guaranteed intervention, crime prevention or a promise that damage can be avoided.
8. Hurricanes, Severe Weather and Access Restrictions
Storm preparation and post-event services are subject to advance planning, safe access, provider availability, official instructions and the written service scope.
Private Living does not guarantee that protective measures will prevent damage or that a residence can be reached before, during or immediately after a severe-weather event. Personnel will not be expected to enter an unsafe area or disregard restrictions issued by authorities, an HOA or emergency services.
9. Family Support and Health-Related Coordination
Family Support & Care Coordination may include scheduling, transportation, communication and practical coordination with independent professionals.
Private Living does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide clinical advice or replace a physician, nurse, psychologist, licensed caregiver, ambulance or medical emergency service. Health-related decisions remain with the individual, family and qualified medical professionals.
10. Legal, Tax, Financial, Insurance and Real-Estate Matters
Private Living does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, financial-planning, insurance-coverage, real-estate brokerage or property-appraisal advice through the Website or ordinary residence-management services.
References to documentation, insurance, ownership, transactions, permits, taxes or regulations are operational in nature and should be confirmed with the appropriate licensed adviser or authority.
11. Private Assets, Vehicles and Marine Coordination
Coordination involving vehicles, golf carts, motorcycles, boats, art or other private assets does not replace mechanical inspection, marine survey, registration, insurance, safety or regulatory advice.
The owner remains responsible for legal ownership, operation, insurance, licensing and use unless a written agreement allocates a specific administrative task to Private Living.
12. Insights, Calendars and Event Information
Articles, calendars and planning resources may become outdated as weather, regulations, event schedules, provider availability and local conditions change.
Event dates should be confirmed with the official organizer. Maintenance recommendations should be confirmed against manufacturer instructions, warranties, HOA requirements and advice from the appropriate professional for the residence.
13. Photographs, Reports and Digital Communications
Photographs and reports document selected observations at a particular time. They do not establish the condition of every area, system or component and may not show scale, cause, duration or concealed conditions.
Email, messaging, remote devices and online platforms may experience delay, interruption or unauthorized access. Time-sensitive instructions should be communicated through the method specified in the client agreement.
14. No Guarantee of Outcome
Private Living is committed to careful coordination, clear communication and responsible follow-through. However, no particular result, cost, completion date, provider performance or absence of loss can be guaranteed unless an express written commitment appears in the applicable client agreement.
15. Client Agreement Controls
The signed client agreement, accepted proposal and written authorizations define the actual services and responsibilities for each engagement. If this Disclaimer conflicts with a signed client agreement, the agreement will control to the extent of the conflict, subject to applicable law.
16. Contact
Questions about the scope of a service should be raised before authorization or work begins.
