Private Living respects the privacy of homeowners, prospective clients, authorized representatives, family members, service providers and visitors to privatelivingmexico.com. This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, protected and retained, and how data subjects may exercise their privacy rights.

2. Scope of This Notice

This Notice applies to personal data processed through:

1.   privatelivingmexico.com and its inquiry forms.

2.   Email, telephone, messaging and consultation communications.

3.   Residence assessments, proposals and onboarding.

4.   Client service, owner-representation and reporting activities.

5.   Authorized interactions with household personnel, family representatives, HOAs, advisers, vendors and other independent providers.

A client agreement, authorization form or service-specific privacy notice may provide additional information when a particular service requires more detailed or sensitive processing.

3. Personal Data We May Process

Depending on the nature of the interaction and the services requested, we may process the following categories:

  • Identity and Contact Data

    Name, signature, email address, telephone number, preferred communication method, nationality or language preference when relevant, and information identifying an authorized representative.

  • Inquiry and Residence Data

    Residence location, general property description, occupancy pattern, requested services, timing, owner priorities and information included voluntarily in an inquiry or consultation.

  • Contract, Billing and Administrative Data

    Contract details, tax or invoicing information, payment status, budgets, approved spending limits and records needed to administer the client relationship. Private Living does not request that payment-card details, online-banking credentials or account passwords be submitted through the general website form.

  • Residence Operations and Access Data

    Where required by a signed service arrangement, this may include key and access records, alarm or entry procedures, authorized visitors, household contacts, vendor information, residence systems, inventories, photographs, maintenance records and incident information.

  • Family and Authorized-Contact Data

    Where relevant to an agreed service, this may include the identity and contact details of family members, household personnel, emergency contacts, schools, professional advisers or other people designated by the client.

  • Technical and Usage Data

    Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, dates and times of access, cookie identifiers and similar technical information generated when the website is used.

4. Sensitive Personal Data

Please do not submit medical information, access codes, government identification documents, financial-account credentials or other sensitive personal data through the general website inquiry form.

If a contracted service makes it legitimately necessary to process sensitive personal data, including limited health-related information for family coordination, Private Living will seek the required express written consent and use additional authorization and security procedures. Private Living does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

5. Primary Purposes of Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following necessary purposes:

1.   Responding to inquiries and consultation requests.

2.   Confirming identity and authorized-representative status.

3.   Understanding the residence, requested support and owner priorities.

4.   Preparing assessments, proposals, service plans and contracts.

5.Conducting onboarding and establishing access, approval and communication procedures.

6.Providing Home Watch, residence management, owner representation, household administration, project oversight, private-asset coordination, arrival support, concierge or family-coordination services as agreed.

7.Communicating reports, photographs, estimates, incidents, recommendations and service updates.

8.Coordinating authorized household personnel, HOAs, advisers, vendors and independent service providers.

9.Administering invoices, payments, accounting, tax, contractual and compliance records.

10.Protecting the legitimate interests, safety and security of clients, residences, personnel and service relationships.

11.Responding to lawful requests from competent authorities and exercising or defending legal rights.

12.Maintaining, securing and improving the website and service operations.

6. Optional or Secondary Purposes

With consent where required, contact data may be used to send occasional insights, owner resources, service announcements or invitations related to Private Living.

Refusing or withdrawing consent for these optional communications will not affect an inquiry or an existing service relationship. A recipient may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided or emailing carlos@privatelivingmexico.com.

Private Living does not sell or rent personal data.

7. Consent

Where permitted by applicable law, consent may be express or implied after this Privacy Notice has been made available and the data subject has not objected. Express consent will be requested when required, including for financial or patrimonial data and express written consent for sensitive personal data, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Consent may be revoked without retroactive effect by following the procedure described below. Revocation may not be possible where processing must continue to comply with a legal or contractual obligation or to protect or exercise a legal right.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use cookies and similar technologies needed to operate, secure and display the site, remember preferences, understand site use and measure performance.

Depending on the services actually enabled, these technologies may be provided by the website platform, analytics providers or embedded third-party content. 5.Parties involved in exercising, establishing or defending a legal claim.

Where consent is legally required for a transfer, the appropriate consent will be obtained. A recipient will receive only the information reasonably necessary for its role and will be informed of the applicable purposes and privacy obligations where required.

Some technology providers may process or store data outside Mexico. Private Living will use reasonable measures intended to ensure that such processing is consistent with this Notice and applicable law.

10. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, the duration of the client or provider relationship, applicable limitation periods, and accounting, tax, contractual, security and legal obligations.

When data is no longer necessary, it will be deleted, securely destroyed, anonymized or blocked for the legally required period, as applicable. Specific retention schedules should be documented internally and reviewed periodically.

11. Security and Confidentiality

Private Living uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks involved. These measures are intended to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, destruction, disclosure or misuse.

No website, email platform, cloud service or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident materially affects a data subject's patrimonial or moral rights, notice will be provided as required by applicable law.

12. Rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition

Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO), as well as request limitation of use or disclosure or revoke consent, by emailing carlos@privatelivingmexico.com with the subject line Privacy Rights Request.

The request should include:

2.Documentation reasonably sufficient to verify the identity of the data subject or legal representative.

3.A clear description of the personal data concerned.

4.The right being exercised and the requested action.

5.For rectification, the correction requested and supporting documentation.

6.Any information that may help locate the relevant data.

Private Living will communicate its determination within the period established by applicable Mexican law. If the request is granted, it will be implemented within the corresponding legal period. Identity documents supplied for verification will be used only to authenticate and process the request.

The exercise of ARCO rights is generally free; only legally permitted reproduction, copy or delivery costs may apply.

13. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Marketing

To limit non-essential use or disclosure, opt out of marketing, or revoke consent where legally available, send a request to carlos@privatelivingmexico.com. The request will be applied prospectively and may be subject to legal or contractual retention requirements.

14. Information About Other People

If a client or website user provides personal data about a family member, authorized representative, employee, vendor or other third party, that person represents that they are authorized to provide the information and, where required, will make this Privacy Notice available to the affected individual.

Private Living may request additional evidence of authorization before acting on instructions involving another person's information.

15. Minors

The website is not directed to minors, and minors should not submit personal data through it. Information about a minor should be provided only by a parent, legal guardian or duly authorized person and only when necessary for an agreed service.

16. Third-Party Websites

The website may link to independent third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Privacy Notice. Users should review those notices before providing personal data.

17. Changes to This Privacy Notice

This Notice may be updated to reflect changes in law, website technology, data practices or services.
